X was launched in 1894 in the UK and was the first of its kind in the history of mankind. The company which owns this brand started business in 1885 selling detergent and created phenol  as an household disinfectant, till then it was only used in the medical profession. X was also launched under the same prototype in a different shape-as to be used for washing of clothes purposes. In the year 1900 it was considered a marvellous breakthrough and was given Royal Assent as the Royal Disinfectant Bar. 1911 the brand went global. The year 1933 marked the year when the holding company launched it as a toilet soap which has lasted 116 years and still runs without any change to its positioning as a hygiene and cleanliness provider....
